Zoom Large Meetings / Webinars
Most of us are familiar with using Zoom to conduct an online meeting. Western University has detailed Zoom tutorial documents available online. (Including how to get the software, how to sign in using your uwo.ca account, and many other valuable resources.)
Here is some related information about hosting larger events with Zoom using Zoom Large Meetings and Zoom Webinars.
Zoom Large Meetings
Zoom also has great options to support larger events, such as a conference, presentation days, or simply group work sessions during a class. Zoom Meetings include features like polls and chats for interactivity, and breakout rooms to allow smaller group of meeting attendees to work (or simultaneous talks within a main event).
If you are looking to host a large meeting with more than 300 attendees, then the "Zoom Large Meetings" add-on license may be of interest to you.
Science Technology Services has produced a detailed tutorial video about these various features:

Zoom Webinars
Sometimes for large events, a Zoom Webinar may be more appropriate than a Zoom Meeting. Webinars are designed so that the host and any designated panelists can share their video, audio and screen. However, in a Zoom Webinar the majority of attendees are view-only participants. It is a much more secure and controlled environment in which to hold a large event.
